Dr. Ron Lopez, M.D., P.A.

Dr. Ron Lopez is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as certified as a Diplomat in the subspecialty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed his training in adult and child Psychiatry at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami and has been in private practice in the Pinellas County area for more than 24 years. Dr. Lopez played a vital role in the Public Mental Health System of our community by heading the Child and adolescent “Crisis” unit at PEMHS, receiving and treating facility of Children suffering from a mental or substance abuse crisis.

Dr. Lopez founded The Brain Enhancement Institute, an outpatient multi-specialty behavioral health center with the purpose of evaluating and treating psychiatric and substance abuse disorders that affect children, teenagers, adults and their families. His treatment approach is “comprehensive”, meaning that in addition to being up to date with cutting edge medication therapies, he works closely with his colleague therapists who specialize in an array of Psychotherapeutic Interventions including individual, group, marital, family and substance abuse counseling. Education and wellness are also a priority when prescribing treatment.

Dr. Lopez lives in the north Pinellas area, he is happily married and the proud father of 2 grown up and successful young adults.
