Cynthia Morris is a PMHNP-BC, ARNP, MSN in Palm Harbor, FL with special training and skill in diagnosing and treating physical causes of mental health disorders and substance addiction.

Cynthia is board certified by ANCC for the treatment of substance use disorder and dependence. As an Addiction Specialist, Cynthia performs medical diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders that may lead to/or worsen substance use. Psychiatry is a medical specialty focusing on diagnosing and treating mental health disorders that may play a role in or co-occur with substance addiction.

Significant diseases and conditions treated by Addiction Specialists can include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, and other disorders that can contribute to addiction to alcohol, benzodiazepines, opiates, and prescription drugs. In addition to medication management, therapy is recommended for additional support.
